Living in times where the media and society direct what is ‘normal’ we are often faced with that feeling of fitting in and acceptance. But I would have to beg to differ that regardless of what the media and society tell you I want to tell you to JUST BE YOURSELF! Some people will question your morals or your lifestyle but at the end of the day YOU will be happy. We should never let people or images dictate what we should look like or what clothes we should wear or what profession we should hold. Coming from someone who has been following orders my whole life finally letting my own styles, talents and thoughts shine I have begun to live a much happier life regardless of what others have to say both negatively and positively. Simply because at the end of each night its only myself that can allow the days trials and tribulations to make me or break me.
Once other way to JUST BE YOURSELF is coming to terms with yourself that no matter what people tell you or say about you, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. If you want to wear green highlights in your hair I say go for it (as long as its not an issue at your place of business). Feeling beautiful is a form of expression. No one should make cynical comments or pass judgement if they don’t know you. I have a Leopard print OBSESSION and yes I have heard positive and negative comments but that wont stop me from showing my spots proudly. So if you are a size 0 or a size 22 Just be yourself and those who matter wont mind and those who mind really don’t matter. A person’s words shouldn’t make or break you it should help you decide who is worthy enough to be involved in your life. After all we only live one life so why not enjoy it doing what makes YOU happy instead of trying to fit the medias cookie cut idea of happy and perfect!
Take a few minutes and look into the mirror and tell yourself EVERYDAY “I AM BEAUTIFUL NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY, AND I’M HAPPY JUST BEING ME”.
And with that I leave you with the most inspiring song that has helped me feel beautiful no matter what they say …..
