Drugstore finds can be just as good if not better quality than department store finds. Like everyone else, I am a girl on a budget who loves to find those hidden treasures for less. Now don’t get me wrong, there are products that I will spend a good penny on although I have learned through experience that I am able to choose wisely on what those products will be. Combining the high end and low end products is key to creating your perfect collection. This week I would love to share with you my top ten beauty finds at the drugstore that are a staple in my beauty routine. These products deliver and will save you big time at the counter.
1.) Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil $7.99 It’s a wax formula that glides on to create hair-like fine lines. My shade is deep brown. You can sharpen it and there is a small comb on the other end for shaping.
2.) Loreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer $12.95 This is a unique liquid formula that blends into skin to boost it’s luminosity. You can use it alone, mix with your foundation, or dab it in areas you want to highlight. I even put it on my collarbone and shoulders for a sexy sheen.
3.) Sally Hansen Insta Dry Nail Polish $4.99 With it’s fuller brush, you really only need one to two strokes to get full coverage per nail. The colors leave a flawless look with the quickest drying finish. There are too many shades to mention but right now I am sporting Sonic Bloom.
4.)Maybelline Great Lash Lots Of Lashes $6.50 America’s favorite mascara comes in a smaller brush designed to grab all the tiny hard to reach lashes. No worries about clumping with this product, add as many layers as you need.
5.) Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner $6.99 each. This wins awards year after year. I feel it is the best drugstore find in shampoo and conditioner that I have tried. They now have collections designed to fit your individual hair needs. I am currently using the one for more volume.
6.) Loreal Creme Hair Color $8.99 Whether you need to cover some grays or want a new vibrant shade of color, then this product is by far the easiest to apply at home. The creamy application is practically mess free. They now have it with pro-keratin complex to help revitalize and protect your strands. Chocolate brown is my pick!
7.) St. Ives Body Wash $4.50 I have used it for years and one of their newest scents is energizing citrus. It mixes the citrus with mint and eucalyptus that is uplifting and invigorating. I absolutely love the way my skin feels after showering with this liquid body soap.
8.) Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss $6.99 A weightless gloss with an incredible amount of shine. I love it alone or over your favorite lipstick. My fav is pink ice, a very pale pink.
9.) Neutrogena Shine Control Blotting Sheets $6.99 This product is actually my go to only in the summer because my skin tends to get oily just in the summer months but I recommend these to anyone with an oily skin base. I keep them on me to freshen up anytime throughout the day., They instantly absorb the excess oil and shine to leave your skin feeling fresh.
10.) Johnsons Baby Oil 3.29 An oldie but always a goody. This product can be used as soon as you get out of the shower before your body is completely dry. Mix the oil with your favorite body lotion to keep moisturized longer through the day. Another little trick is to use it to take off your makeup, especially your mascara. It’s a true versatile classic.
Just keep in mind, many drugstore products are made by the same manufacturers and in the same factories as the high priced department store brands. Most of the time you are paying extra for the fancy packaging they come in.
Dee Buzz Tip Of The Week My favorite brand is Mac so I am forever wearing that line’s lipstick and blush while my eyebrows and mascara on the other hand is Maybelline. So remember to mix your favorites together. Application is key so if you are going to splurge, let it be on cosmetic brushes. They are what makes the biggest difference in your finished look.

Hey Dee,
I have to try the infusing primer. It makes such a noticeable difference. Also, the great lash is my absolute favorite an “oldie, but goodie” for sure. Lastly, the blotting sheets are so key . I don’t always remember them going out, but they are 100% always in my purse when going to a wedding!
Great job and picks!
Love,
Nicole
