We all have that heavy cosmetics bag filled with our favorites, the numerous amounts of shadows, glosses, and brushes. But what about all the little essentials we leave home without? This week I put together an important beauty survival kit all of us should have on us for those emergency type situations. If your handbag is already heavy enough, you can leave this in your car so its always on the go with you. Think about those times you make last minute plans to see a friend for dinner, last minute client meeting, or even after your workout at the gym.
These small items take up little space but are big on help in any situation. I like my items in a clear cosmetic bag so that I can find what I need in an instant. Most of these items are already in your home so you just need to pack them up for your survival kit. Here are my top ten!
1.) Chap Stick – It never hurts to have extra soft lips. Whether adding moisture or you just want a delicious flavor on your lips, you should always have this on hand.
2.) Mini Perfume – I get these for free all the time with online orders and always carry them with me. It feels so good to freshen up after being out for some time and it leaves a lasting impression.
3.) Q-tips – These can be used with your cosmetics, especially to clean up those dreaded raccoon eyes after a long day.
4.) Hand sanitizer – My favorites are from Bath & Body and I have them everywhere you can imagine. I catch myself using them just because they smell so good. Just think of all those times you cant get to a restroom.
5.)Double sided tape – Best product right here. It is gentle on the skin, completely discreet, and super fabric friendly. Just peel, stick, and go. It will fix many fashion blunders.
6.) Mini Hairspray – This will keep your style in place all day, but it can also be used to help those runs that occur in your pantyhose,
7.) Stain Remover – There is nothing worse than having to sit through the day or night with a stain. Don’t let a spill ruin your outfit.
8. ) Mini hand lotion – A true multi-tasking product. Of course we use it for our dry hands, but it can also help your flyaway hairs and clean up the the makeup under your eyes (with q-tips).
9.) Blotting tissues – Especially during this time of the year and as we head towards summer when so many of us get oily skin. I love how fresh faced I feel after one little tissue.
10.) Toothbrush – Saved the best the last! Forget the mouthwash and floss, the Colgate Wisp is a single use mini toothbrush that cleans and freshens with out water. Use these on the go anytime, anywhere. I swear I could write a blog just on this product alone.
With all these products, you should be able to get through most situations. You can add these with your makeup to create the ultimate survival kit, or like I do, keep them in different cosmetic bags depending on your purse size. Please share with us the items you would add to your beauty survival kit.
