The ponytail is every girl’s best friend. Knowing which ponytail suits you is a matter of taste. With so many ways to wear your pony, making a choice to look polished or simply get the hair out of your face is just a few steps away. Not everyone wants a fancy updo, so keep in mind that a very simple ponytail can still look amazing. Whether sleek, teased, braided, or natural, the ponytail is a big trend this spring. Pick a part that works for you, and start creating your perfect pony. You may want to save your ponytail look for a day you have to skip a shampoo. I never leave home with out my elastic hairbands. They are always around my wrist, therefor I get stylish ones. Here are some very on trend ideas for a finished look with a ponytail. Products will vary based on which style you think best compliments you.
1.)Wild, Teased Ponytail – Hair should start off with volumizing mousse. As if you were creating a mohawk, start teasing with a fine tooth comb to get some height. Smooth hair out from front to back and add your ponytail. You can either tease the pony or keep it sleek. Finish with anti humidity hairspray.
2.)Romantic Side Ponytail – With or without bangs, this pony looks best when soft curls are added. Second day hair will hold this look longer. Start with a texturizing cream, some volume at the crown, and have the pony fall opposite side of the part. Keep the elastic at the nape of your neck, use bobby pins for shorter layers that may fall out, and a light finish hairspray to keep curls bouncing.
3.)Trendy, Braided Ponytail – The half braid is the newest trend combining a shiny braid up high with a brushed out wave on the bottom. Secure your hair tightly in a higher pony and only braid until about the bottom of your earlobes. Use a second elastic to hold the braid. On the bottom portion of hair that is not braided, use a smaller curling iron and brush through the curls.
4.)Classic, Sleek Ponytail – This pony will take you from the gym, to work and out to dinner. Blow dry hair straight and brush back for a sleek look. Tame your flyaways with hairspray to keep it neat. If using a flatiron to get your straight look, then a serum may be helpful as well.
Remember to add hair accessories that you like to add flair to this already fabulous look. They have beautiful barrettes, headbands, flowers, and feathers to perfect your pony. And girls with shorter hair, have no fear, because you can add a pony extension anytime you want to get any of these looks. Whatever style you chose, just add your coral lips and fresh face !
