Being a people pleaser is much like being held hostage in your own body…you don’t really have the freedom to do what you want to because you’re too busy trying to make everyone in your life happy about your own decisions. This was my dilemma for a very long time…always trying to make everyone happy but never focusing on what made me happy. I ended up getting so wrapped up in what other people thought, I lost my own happiness. Lessons I learned:
You can’t please everyone. I found the freedom in not giving a rat’s behind about what others thought and started living my life FOR ME. There’s always someone in this world that will not approve of something that you do….it’s time to stop caring. The more you care about what people think, the less you’re living your life. Why not live it to the fullest?
Dare to be different. Find the power in freedom. Find the freedom in independence. Live your life for you .
