So, you’re on your way to work and stop in to grab a coffee. This cute guy not only pays for your coffee but starts up a convo and at the end of that convo, he asks you out on a date. What do you do? Here’s my list of tips

Do: be fashionably late…..to a certain extent
Making your date sweat it out for a few minutes while you
put on the finishing touches is okay, just don’t make the poor guy sit there for longer than 10 mins. You’ll
make a horrible first impression.
Do: wear your favorite perfume
Of course, don’t overkill….but it’s good to have that extra
oomph of confidence knowing that you smell good just in case
your nerves get the best of you.
Don’t: try too hard to impress
Trust me, he’ll know it. Keep your outfit simple and sweet.
I suggest leaving your 6inch glittery gold platforms at home.
Don’t: get too nervous
Chances are he’s nervous too. Stay cool, calm and collected.
Do: act like a lady
I know you have table manners, use them. Be polite and
respectful. Chew with your mouth closed….etc.
Do: act like you’re interested in the convo
Even if he is the most boring/dry/dull person you have ever met
and is talking about something that you couldn’t care less about,
just act interested….you may learn something. Plus, chances are
he’s paying for the dinner and the least you could do is listen to him.
Don’t: bring up exes
Talk about a first date buzz kill….yeesh. Bringing up your ex on the first date tells them two things:
A. You’re not over your ex
B. This date is a waste of their time
Save the venting for your girls, a date is not a therapy session. Talk about things you want him to remember about you!
Do: thank him for a lovely evening
I don’t care if it was the worst date in your life, unless he made you pay for dinner, say thank you.
